Class of 2009 - pre retreat photo

It's Intense

Meeting at locations such as hospitals, schools and jails invites active inquiry into issues vital to Jackson's future.  Open dialogue with key community leaders and decision makers makes important regional issues come alive.  And committing a day a week to this twelve week program means taking community leadership seriously.

It's Diverse

Each Leadership Jackson class is selected so that the diversity of perspectives among participants will generate meaningful personal interaction and learning.  Connecting with clasmates who come from a variety of professions and backgrounds is a significant part of the learning experience.

It's Life-Changing

Participants have access to community leaders and personal experience with real regional and community issues.  And after spending a day each week with people who are shaping our community's future from mayors to social workers passionate about helping others, you will look at the community from a new perspective.

What community leaders are saying about Leadership Jackson...

As a new person moving into the Jackson area, Leadership Jackson was an incredible experience for me.  It put me on the fast track to getting to know the area and the business community.  Outside of work and church, my circle of   friends and business associates has come primarily through Leadership Jackson.  I can not think of a better way of   preparing employees for leadership and getting them out in the community than through this program.  The training is   outstanding, and designed to help participants become a better employee, manager, community member and person.  I   am sold on Leadership Jackson!
